About Bartley

Introduction

Bartley Sailing Club is situated in the south western outskirts of Birmingham. We have 120 acres of clean water, and generally excellant wind conditions.

The club was founded when a few hardy souls from existing local sailing clubs began sailing on Bartley Reservoir in the late 1970s. Our facilities have grown from a tiny toilet tent to a modern and comprehensive site icluding: a splendid new clubhouse built in the mid-1980s, capacious hard car park, dinghy park, rescue boat garage, race control building, slipways, pontoons etc.

We have a professionally operated bar and catering facilities, a large dry facility which we use for traing and social events.
