National Schools Sailing Association Team Racing
The National School Sailing Association is a registered charity which promotes sailing as part of the educational experience of young people
· We publish a quarterly magazine School Sailing Matters, which gives details of events, together with educational and sailing news.
· We also publish the NSSA Handbook Sailing across the curriculum, a must for all teachers, trainers, coaches, interested parents and helpers. Lots of ideas and practical guidance.
· The NSSA has developed its own award scheme with Gold, Silver and Bronze badges. The scheme is widely used in centres, schools and clubs. Progress charts are available free of charge, (p&p at cost) to affiliated associations/centres. The scheme links closely with the RYA National dinghy scheme and is administered by Chris March.
· The NSSA works closely with the RYA to promote youth sailing. RYA Teaching Establishment Status can be awarded through the NSSA.
· The NSSA organises prestige National Events, throughout the year. Area, Regional Championships and Series also take place.
